Snowshoeing in Castle Rock State Park #Idaho

I've set a goal to visit every Idaho State Park in 2019. My first stop (because it's a bit off the beaten path) is Castle Rocks State Park near Almo, Idaho. According to archaeologists, it's been a popular destination for about 9,000 years. While I was just there for the day, it has nice campsites for Spring-Fall visits and yurts for folks who want to overnight when cc-skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. It's next door to the equally stunning City of the Rocks National Reserve, and Durfee Hot Springs is only 10 minutes away. There is a nice local Inn in Almo as well as the Tracy General Store which has delicious homemade pastries and hot drinks. GPS 42.12583, -113.65889
